Sharpie’s Shenanigans Ride Report

Met Wayne C at Marulan as planned and headed for Candelo via Braidwood, Araluen, Eurobodalla, Bermagui and finally Bega for fuel and beers etc. A short ride led us to Sharpie’s.

Tony was riding on his own but met up with Chief and the professor. Russell also rode on his own and turned up about 5 pm.

A good night was had by all and a special thanks to Steve for the BBQ and hospitality. A beautiful setting over looking the mountains, and Tantawangalo Creek runs along the boundary.

After a hearty brekky and the arrival of Brian on the vintage 600 Tenere we were off. Chief and Trevor headed off on their road bikes while we went exploring the South East Forest NP, with Sharpie leading the way. We stopped for a rest at a few camping spots before heading to Myamba Gorge for a look see. After this we headed to Bombala for a late lunch and to grab supplies for the camp at Six Mile Creek.

A top camping spot with a great fire ring and BBQ. Lyndon and Keith arrived in the late afternoon, making for a good night of the usual shenanigans.

Sunday morning saw us all pack up and head for home. Another top weekend and, once again, thanks Sharpie. I think you might see us again soon.
