An excellent explanation of the cornerman system. One thing which I think needs to be added and which I have found is missing from nearly every description of the corner man system I’ve ever seen is that when you are riding, always stay on the main road and do not turn into side roads unless you see a cornerman on the corner. Often when you are riding you will come to ambiguous situations where there might be a trail to the left just slightly off the main trail and it’s unclear which one you should take when there’s no corner men there. I think the above principal helps clarify that
